Effective Literature Searches Online
Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed by the vast amount of information available online? Are you looking for an effective way to find the most relevant literature for your research? Look no further than the Effective Literature Search workshop at Fresno State Library!
The literature search workshop is designed to help students like you learn how to effectively find, evaluate, and use scholarly literature for your research projects. Our workshop will be led by a librarian who is an expert in research and literature searching, and will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Understanding different types of literature and where to find them
- Identifying keywords and using Boolean operators for more effective searches
- Evaluating the credibility and relevance of sources
- Using advanced search techniques and databases to find relevant literature
- Organizing and keeping track of your literature search
The workshop will be held via Zoom and recorded, so you can practice the skills you learn as you rewatch. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get personalized help with your own literature search.
